What we collect

When you use the agent finder or the home valuation tool we collect what you type: the region and towns you choose, what you are trying to do, and, if you contact an agent, your name, email address and optionally your phone number. On the valuation tool we also collect what you tell us about the property.

We do not require an account, and you can browse every page on this site, including every listing and every agent, without giving us anything.

Why we collect it

To put you in touch with one of our agents and to give that agent enough context to reply usefully. That is the whole purpose. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.

Who sees it

An inquiry goes to Oak Avenue and to the agent it was addressed to. We use a small number of service providers to make that work, currently an email delivery service and, for address lookup, Google Places. Those providers handle data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Text messages and your mobile number

If you give us a phone number we may use it to contact you about your inquiry, by call or by text. We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Text-message originator opt-in data is not shared with anyone.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies and depends on what you asked us. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or service.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept as business records. Florida brokerages are required to retain transaction records for five years; inquiries that never become transactions are kept for no longer than we have a reason to.

Your choices

Ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, and we will. Reply STOP to any text message, or tell us by any means you like, and we will stop contacting you. We process those requests within ten business days.

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
